Auntie P made a yummy birthday cake for Madelyn. We celebrated it after nap time so "Miss Liss" could be a part of it.
We welcomed the summer (well the month meant summer, but the good weather was sadly lagging behind) by taking 4 days, you know military timing, don't want to rush these things!!, to move 30 miles to our new place in Gig Harbor. The kids adjusted relatively quickly given the noise and excitement of it all. Luckily, we had Auntie P to help us, yes again, with the transition of moving and unpacking and hanging with the kids.
The kids really enjoyed Auntie P's visit. Every morning at breakfast, Madelyn would say, "Where Auntie P?" Then when she left us 2 weeks later, Madelyn made a really cute sad face the next morning when we told her she had gone home to Uncle Dan. She is definitely developing a personality and knows and misses those special people in her life.
