First, no travel date yet. It's awful, the waiting. But we did get a social worker update on the children and some recent pictures of Isaac. Madelyn is steadily improving in her weight, she is now between the 10-25 percentile, she started out under the 5 percentile line. It sounds like she is progressing quite normally. She apparently likes to look at books and be read to which thrills us. She can play with balls, run, says words like mama, daddy, brother, sister, and can make animal sounds appropriately. The report says she likes to dance and scribble with pen and paper. Apparently she can take a cushion and sit down on it. Her favorite food is kidney beans (not kidding, it really said that) She reportedly plays well with other kids and has formed a good attachment with her foster family. That is good news, I am hopeful these reports are accurate.
As far as Isaac, aka to us as "the beautiful bouncing baby boy from Taipei", he's seemingly leveled out somewhat on the weight and is at 50 percentile, and between 75-80 percentile in height. He is active and has mastered the walker (the report said these exact words, funny), has a bottle 4x/day and eats some solids.
Hope you like the picture. No new picture of Madelyn, bummer. Some good news. Sweet friends of ours are throwing us a baby shower at Torii Beach in a couple of weeks. It should be a blast, it's for the whole family, not just ladies. Rumor has it that Joel will be forced to lap up melted chocolate out of diaper.........
Oh my goodness, he is one beautiful baby boy!!
