Christmas Day

Christmas Day Okinawa 2009 was nice and uneventful which is a good thing since we were both on call, we volunteered since we were the only couple who didn't have children. Hopefully it will be different next Christmas. Things were "quiet" at the hospital. I had only one patient in the ICU who I had to round on that morning. 79 years old and quite a character, reminds me a little of Uncle Frank. The cool thing is that all the Japanese stores are open on Christmas day, makes it convenient to get last minute stuff, not that I would do that... Joel got me the softest robe in the world. Our families went over and above sending packages and we had quite the gift unwrapping session. It was pretty fun.

  1. Absolutely no volunteering to work Christmas next year that's for sure. Your tree is beautiful... oh, and you two don't look too bad either... hehehehe...
