We were welcomed to the New Year with an email from HIC containing recent pictures of the kids as well as the November social work visit update. As it turns out, Isaac continues to grow and is now in the 90th percentile for height and weight based on US charts. Wow, clearly they are feeding him well. Madelyn is still on the low side but does not appear to be trending down.
Apparently Isaac is sleeping through the night, soundly (music to our ears!), he has a morning and afternoon nap, sucks his thumb and claps. Per the social worker "he is very cute, makes sounds with mouth, shakes hands with others, lifts up his feet" We love the picture of him with the man, who I think is the male head of household in the foster home. Per the reports, they are very attached.
Madelyn speaks limited short words like "mama"(mandarin version of such), knows how to wave goodbye, sleeps from 9pm to 8 am, and her fine and gross motor skills are right on target. She also has to have her "special blanket" when she sleeps.
No actual news on a court date or anything, but we are trying not to get too impatient. Hope you enjoy the photo's.
Last night we spent New Year's Eve eating leftovers for dinner, then watching a couple episodes of The Mentalist (I recommend it), before reading and going to bed early. Not that it isn't peaceful or enjoyable, but we could clearly stand some excitement (read: children) in our house. Have a wonderful 2010!
