Adoption Pics of my sister and I - Inchon, Korea

A trip down memory lane led me to these pictures of Kathleen and me when we were adopted from Star of the Sea Orphanage in Inchon Korea.

Me, at 10 months and Kathleen, 2 yrs old,
Sitting on our mom's lap at the orphanage.
She's trying us on for size - I guess we fit!

Take a look at the shallow cribs in the background! It's no wonder I had a history of crawling out of the crib and had to be harnessed in.

My mom and Kathleen. Look how they safety pinned the drool rags
onto the kids' shirts, pretty cute!

Sister Bernadette, one of the Canadian nuns that ran the orphanage, and the new family. My parents kept in touch with her for about 40 years, until she died.

Lot's of little kids. My parents said that the older toddlers somehow knew the scoop - when prospective adoptive parents came by, they would run and cling to their legs.

My parents had a bit of a "surprise" -  2 years after we were adopted, my brother Ronald was born.
