Sapporo Winter Festival Pics

These are pictures from the Winter Festival in Sapporo. This has occurred annually since the 1950's, some years requiring thousands of truckloads of snow. The labor is provided by Japan's military ranks - which we think is just fine. The exhibits are enormous (the actual size of the buildings) and each one takes up a city block, with about 8 city blocks to walk through. They had an awesome snowboarding exhibit as well.

This is a sculpture of a famous historic Korean Temple

Wildlife Sculpture from Sapporo Zoo

Check out the video, it's pretty characteristic of what's pop music in Japan. Very pretty Japanese boys (except the Caucasian guy in the sunglasses) prancing about the stage with mediocre lyrics and vocals. Highly entertaining.
