Trip down memory lane. Madelyn crying during her haircut in Taipei the week we got them. I can see why my mother wants to photograph her, it's pretty cute.
Madelyn's face lit up when she saw all the candies! It's a special time with Madelyn when Isaac is still napping because sometimes she gets to do craft projects with Mama or Alissa, the nanny.
Final product, a joint effort between Mama and Madelyn. We had to throw it away a couple of days later because every time the kids saw it, they'd want to eat the candy
Madelyn had such a bad cold and runny nose that she had excoriations under her nose from all the blowing with dry Kleenex. We switched to blowing with wipies and have coated her upper lip with Desitin. We call her our little Desitin Pearl (?!)The parents aren't hitting, but Isaac is. In the last week or so, he's discovered that he has two tools attached to himself which can be used as weapons, a means to get someone's attention, and just basic aerobic exercise (pounding on inanimate objects, Madelyn, and occasionally Mommy or Daddy) A firm "no hitting" is not doing the job, so we had to scale up the discipline to a boomy deep loud voice which he hates and results in a small sized tantrum lasting about 45 seconds. Madelyn watches nearby with awe and a little cheer. She's so used to being the one being corrected, and boy she seems to get a perverse pleasure in seeing Isaac cry. I can't criticize her too much as Nana (my mother) was sprinting for her camera every time either of them would have a tantrum.
however much Madelyn will hate you for posting a picture of her crying, i love it. she is too darn cute, both smiling or crying.
