We had some friends over on Friday evening. They successfully procurred a toddler from Taiwan about 6 months ago using the same agency. Even though we didn't really know them prior, they have been so generous with their wealth of information and advice in negotiating the fine details of this process on Okinawa.
Their daughter just turned 3 and is beautiful, sweet natured, and extremely well behaved. I wish I had taken pictures. Their daughter's Taiwan foster mother ran a manicure business out of her home and the little girl does "play acting" manicures, and hand massages and tidying up. It's REALLY stinking cute! My only hope is that Madelyn's foster mother does a lot of housework and that these habits are instilled in her as well.......just kidding...........
This weekend both of us are not "on call". It's a gloomy rainy Sunday which means no flying remote controlled airplanes, no kayaking, no snorkeling. This leaves shopping. Joel is not thrilled.
