And the good news keeps rolling in...we've just learned that we have been approved to adopt Madelyn's younger brother! The prior posting/information was a tentative offer, contingent upon our acceptance and a poorly-described approval process wherein someone says we can adopt the baby that's been offered to us to adopt. Almost as exciting, HIC and Chung Yi have decided to submit the adoptions to the Taiwan court simultaneously! We were initially dismayed to think that Madelyn's application had been sitting around for the last 3 weeks, but since Chung Yi expedited her brother's approval (less than a week!) and it means we might only have to make 1 trip to Taiwan/negotiate the court process just once, we're not complaining. Amazed and a touch intimidated to go from a family of 2 to 4 in a single day in a country we've never been to and don't speak the language while staying in a small hotel room (a scenario fit for bad reality television), but definitely not complaining!
