In preparation for our big day at the doctor's, Madelyn wore her sweater outfit with Ugg boot's that Grandma McFarland sent her. She digs the boots!
We are practicing for Halloween by carrying around the pumpkins. Each has their own, of a different color. It's the only way to do things with these two so close in age!Today was a big day. Madelyn and Isaac had their first doctor's visit for a basic checkup. Thank goodness Aunt Patricia is still here with us. It was a tough day for all. We spent, all told, over 4 hours at the hospital. Plus, I forgot to bring the strollers. The kids were troopers, though, and did great without any meltdowns. They were extremely cooperative with the physical exam. Joel got to come over and be there for the doctor portion. Then Aunt P, me and the kids had a good lunch in the galley, followed by a trip back for the serology. The blood draw wasn't any fun, but M actually smiled at the nurse during the blood draw, it was really cute. Isaac cried pretty hard as they had trouble finding a good vein on him. But the vampires eventually succeeded, bless them. The pediatrician said that they are doing great. Isaac is in the 95 percentile for height and 50th for weight, and M is in the 75 percentile for height, and 25th for weight - on the American scale! Of course, that means they would be morbidly obese in China, but we think they look great.
